「NextStage」は2016年11月にヒカル氏がラファエル氏や禁断ボーイズと共に結成したYouTuberグループです。2017年9月に一度解散しましたが、2020年2月にメンバーを一新して再結成されました。現在はヒカル氏をはじめ、相馬トランジスタ氏、みっき～氏、名人氏、ロケマサ氏、まえす氏、捧さんなど、7名で活動していました。
2023年3月17日に公開された動画で、ヒカル氏はNextStageの解散を発表しました。解散理由は、「熱量の差」が一番の要因であると語りました。また、ファンの間での意見の分裂が彼にとって「しんどい」と感じさせ、一人で活動していたらこのような状況にはならなかったと語りました。
さらに、ヒカル氏は、NextStageの動画に統一感が必要であると気づき、ショート動画に力を入れようとしていた際、「ショート動画でバズらせている会社の人」から、「登場人物が多すぎる」と指摘を受けました。そのため、チャンネルを分けるべきだと言われたものの、ヒカル氏はそれでも上を目指せるのか疑問に感じ、解散を決断しました。
解散後も、それぞれのメンバーは前向きに活動を続けると述べ、ファンに謝罪しました。
このように、再結成から約3年でNextStageは活動を終えました。禁断ボーイズやアバンティーズ、ヴァンゆん、はなおでんがん、ウチら3姉妹など、他の多くの人気YouTuberユニットやグループも解散を発表しており、異なる強烈な個性を持つYouTuber同士が同じ熱量で足並みを揃えて歩み続けることは難しいさがうかがえます。
