新型コロナウイルスワクチン接種後の約2,000件の死亡報告の中で、42歳女性について、初めて「ワクチンとの因果関係が否定できない」と専門家が認定したことが分かった。これは3月10日に厚生労働省が公表した資料で明らかにされた。
資料によれば、女性は昨年11月5日の午後に米ファイザー製のオミクロン株対応ワクチンを接種したが、その日のうちに死亡してしまった。接種から約5分後に徐々に体調が悪化し、約15分後に呼吸が止まり、接種から1時間40分後に死亡が確認された。
女性は高度肥満、高血圧、糖尿病を患っていたが、画像検査では死亡につながる明確な異常は見つからなかった。そのため、「ワクチン接種と死亡との直接的な因果関係は否定できない」との結論が専門家によって下された。
